1970s, USSR. 16-year-old Sonya, who lives like most of the Soviet youth, with faith in ideals and a bright future, suddenly faces the dark side of life. She falls in love with a young man named Sergei, who introduces her to another law, not the Soviet one, but the thieves' one. The law of thieves forces Sergei to betray his and Sonya's love.
