Pit Handlos has invested a lot of money in a dubious beauty product distribution business and has been trying to sell the products to former girlfriends ever since. He hides the decline of his middle-class existence behind a pretended facade of success. After losing his apartment, he moves in with his son Flo and his son's goth girlfriend Moni under a pretext and becomes entangled in untruths. When his reunion with his childhood sweetheart Christiane ends in a customer meeting and Christiane turns away disappointed, Pit realizes that something is going wrong. Only slowly does he realize that he still loves Christiane and that he must finally be honest with himself if he wants to give his life a chance.
