The film tells the story of Abdullah, who is unjustly arrested. With Egypt coming under British rule, cultural and religious changes begin to take place in the country. Abdullah is arrested during a raid on his home. After Abdullah is imprisoned, his wife Sevde goes to her father's house. Under pressure from her family, she divorces her husband. Abdullah, who is accused of opposing the government, continues his discussions in prison. The police chief, who is disturbed by this situation, tries every means possible to have Abdullah executed.
