Hayes visits con-artist Silky O'Sullivan at his San Francisco mansion and discovers that Kid Curry is on trial for murder in Colorado. Heyes rushes to the town and sees Curry in the audience; the man on trial is an impostor who didn't commit the murder he's accused of. Originally a longer duration episode of the TV series Alias Smith and Jones (1971).
