Set on the steampunk island of Wonder, Wonderlust follows the journey of Uplander snowsledder Troy Lougferd and Reclaim denizens Blink and Runt as they search for the Inventor. Supported by the Clockwork Soldiers and the powers of wondrous coal, a magical substance, Uplanders lead very different lives from the animal-human hybrids living under their feet. For the people of Reclaim, the world is limited to what you make of it. One man's trash in another man's treasure, and any trash can be repurposed into tools, clothing, or even buildings. The lavish society above Reclaim, whose garbage is dumped into the underground city and their sorting district, is completely unaware of the city trapped beneath the surface... for now.
