Investigator Igor Zhuk arrives at his new duty station in Vyborg, but fate does not let him go. When the disfigured body of a young girl is found in the nearby forest, he realizes that he has already seen a similar case. He teams up with police Captain Chagin, a talented detective who is used to acting not according to the rules, but according to justice.
