As opposed to a humorous talk show focused on entertainment value, King limited his interviewee pool to standup comics, and kept the focus of the interviews on the craft and art of creating standup comedy. Guests included George Carlin, Jerry Seinfeld, George Burns, Buddy Hackett, Dennis Miller, Mel Brooks and Joan Rivers. The series is regularly shown in the United Kingdom on Information TV, and its sister channel Showcase 2.
